First Wedding Anniversary

Had she been in Kolkata, relatives and friends would have dropped by. She opened the wedding album and the doorbell rang, must be Deepak. She opened and heard voices screaming joyously “HAPPY ANNIVERSARY”.

All her new friends here were there with a huge bouquet. Deepak was standing behind them grinning.

Every Wednesday we get a new picture prompt for the Friday Fictioneers, a writing challenge graciously hosted by our Fairy Blog Mother Rochelle Wisoff-Fields.
The task of the challenge is to write a story: beginning, middle, and end, in 100 words or less. You can find all the Fictioneers’ stories here. Please read, comment, and if you like, join the fun. Everyone is welcome.

  1. Sorry for being a cynic… but with so much technology and communication, sometimes I crave isolation.. are you really lonely anywhere where there is good WiFi?
